Privacy policy

The aim of Aikkon Est OÜ (hereinafter Aikkon Est) is to provide information to the customer about what types of customer data Aikkon Est processes and why, how the data is processed, and what the customer’s rights are with regard to the processing of personal data. The aim of Aikkon Est is to ensure the privacy of the personal data of its customers, potential future customers and persons related to the customers.

Collection and processing of personal data

Aikkon Est collects and processes the following personal data of the customer: first and last name, personal identification code, contact details (telephone number, address, e-mail address), position, image on the identity document (only when a contact of sale is concluded).

Aikkon Est processes personal data for the following purposes:

• To contact the customer and to identify the customer if the customer contacts Aikkon Est.
• Pre-contract negotiations, to make sales offers, and to conclude and implement the contract of sale, including the delivery of products.
• Accounting and tax obligations.
• For the functioning of customer communication and the improvement of the products of Aikkon Est.
• To fulfil other legal obligations, for example, to fulfil the orders, requests and inquiries of law enforcement authorities.
• For direct marketing (e.g. sending newsletters), if the customer has expressed their wish to receive promotional emails.

The grounds for the processing of personal data at Aikkon Est are as follows:

• Entering into a contract with the client and performing the contract. A prerequisite for concluding the contract is the submission of personal data.
• The legitimate interests of Aikkon Est.
• The fulfilment of legal obligations by Aikkon Est.
• The customer’s consent.

We may collect personal data directly from you if you visit the place of business of Aikkon Est, call, or send an e-mail or submit an application through the Aikkon Est website. When you visit the Aikkon Est website, our web server automatically collects and stores technical data about your device, including the IP address of the device, the web browser version, language, and the time of use of the website. Some of this data is collected through cookies. We may also collect personal data from third parties to fulfil the contract of sale or other contractual obligations or to protect our rights by making enquiries into digital information systems and, if necessary, other public registers. Aikkon Est may also collect your personal data if you apply for a job with us. If you visit our website and agree to the use of cookies, Aikkon Est may collect data about the online behavior of the visitors on the website, however this data is not personalised.

If you visit the place of business of Aikkon Est, you may come into the field of view of a camera that Aikkon Est uses for security purposes. Live images of the cameras and recordings are available to the security company and the management board of Aikkon Est. Camera recordings are stored for two weeks. In the cases set out in legislation, the recordings are shared with law enforcement agencies. We store information transmitted through means of communication (e-mail, telephone, website, social media account, etc.) which we will use to fulfil the contract we have concluded with you and to ensure the fulfilment of the contract and to improve the quality of our customer service. We may send you notifications with the aim of informing you of the products of Aikkon Est and customer events. You can unsubscribe from these notifications at any time by sending us an e-mail at info@aikkon.eu.

Retention of personal data

Aikkon Est only retains personal data for as long as is justified for the purpose of collecting personal data. In each particular case, the period of data retention depends on the contract concluded, the legitimate interests of Aikkon Est and the legal grounds (retention of accounting records, expiration of legal requirements, etc.). Your personal data will be destroyed within a reasonable period of time after the prescribed time limit in a way that eliminates the readability of personal data.

Processors of personal data

Aikkon Est makes personal data available to cooperation partners who act as processors of the customer’s personal data in order to provide services to Aikkon Est, e.g. IT, accounting, logistics, legal, marketing or advertising services.
Your personal data is also processed by the management and employees of Aikkon Est who have the right and need to process your personal data as part of their duties. In cases pursuant to law and on the basis of law, Aikkon Est also makes your personal data available to public authorities (e.g. the Tax Board), law enforcement authorities or other state authorities.
If Aikkon Est involves third parties in the processing of your personal data, then these third parties have confirmed with relevant contracts that they will implement adequate technical and organisational security measures and comply with the data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation, to ensure the proper protection of your data.
If you contact us through a social media account or via other electronic means of communication, your data may be processed by third parties and Aikkon Est has no control over such processing.
Aikkon Est does not transfer your personal data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Customer’s rights

You have the right to access the personal data we have collected about you. To do this, please submit an application to which we will respond as soon as possible but no later than within one month. Data is transmitted electronically in encrypted form. Aikkon Est has the right to charge the customer a reasonable fee for issuing the data.

In addition, you have the right to:

• Request that Aikkon Est correct any incorrect data relating to you or complete incomplete personal data.
• Demand the restriction of data processing or the deletion of data if it is not in conflict with the purpose and performance of the concluded contract or the fulfilment of legal obligations.
• Object to the processing of personal data.
• Request the transfer of data submitted to Aikkon Est to another processor of personal data if the data was processed automatically and for the fulfilment of the contract. Personal data (submitted) on paper is not subject to transfer.
• Withdraw your consent if the data processing is based on the data subject’s consent (particularly consent given for direct marketing purposes). The withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Even after the withdrawal of consent, Aikkon Est may continue to process personal data to the extent necessary to fulfil its legislative obligations or obligations under EU
  law.

Aikkon Est has the right to refuse your request of access if it may:

• damage the rights and freedoms of other persons;
• adversely affect national security;
• obstruct or jeopardise the prevention, detection or procedure of an offence or the enforcement of penalties.
